[00:00:00] Hey hey. I'm Shawna A and you're listening to the delightful audiosodes. These or mini episodes are designed to spark inspiration and provide practical tips for therapists looking to diversify their professional income and build lucrative, fulfilling careers beyond the couch. You're listening to Season two, Episode nine Small Wins, Big Momentum, Starting Step by Step if you've ever felt like growing your practice or business feels like an overwhelming mountain to climb, today's episode is for you. Because the truth is, success doesn't come from one big leap. It comes from small, intentional steps that create real momentum. I want to share something personal. Recently, I went through a sales sprint that completely transformed how I approach my business. In just 30 days, I went from muddy messaging to crystal clear. And I wasn't alone. One participant in that sprint hit six figures in one month. That's the power of focus, strategy and action. And since then, the wins haven't stopped. I hit 12k on TikTok, have been engaging daily in business activities that generate income and new pitches and proposals every single day. Because once you get that clarity, the momentum doesn't stop. So today we're talking about how small wins big momentum and how starting step by step is the key to creating a practice that thrives. Here's the show One of the biggest mindset shifts I've had in my business is recognizing that every small win adds up. When I hit 12k on TikTok, it wasn't because I had some huge viral moment. It was because I showed up daily, tweaking my messaging. Along the way, I also engaged in something that was interesting to me. When I started getting daily inquiries and business opportunities, it wasn't from one big launch. It was from consistently pitching and refining my offer. And when I helped therapists get clarity on their niche and build a marketing system that actually works, it wasn't from one magic moment. It was from breaking down the process into clear, doable steps. Small steps create big momentum, and momentum is what keeps you moving forward even when things feel uncertain. So I'm going to tell you why most therapists stay stuck. Here's something that really shocked me. 88% of women owned businesses make less than 100k per year. When I heard that, my heart sunk. And since mental health therapists are mostly women, that statistic hit extra hard. Why? Well, one reason is because we've been conditioned to believe that making money in our field is wrong, impossible, or even unethical, and that our only option is seeing clients session after session with no way to expand. But the Truth is, therapists are some of the most highly skilled professionals out there. We have knowledge, expertise and problem solving abilities that are in demand far beyond one to one sessions. Yet so many therapists stay stuck because they don't have the clarity on what they truly want their private practice to look like. They don't have a system to bring in clients beyond relying on directories, and they don't have the confidence to market themselves in a way that feels good and natural. So they stay in survival mode rather than stepping into growth mode. The path forward is by taking step by step action. And you do this through breaking it down, learning this, seeing this, actually engaging in my own step by step actions is why I created the Private Practice Power Sprint. Because I don't want to just talk about it. I want to help therapists actually do something about it. The Private Practice Power sprint is a 21 day action brace sprint designed to help you refine your niche so your ideal clients recognize you immediately. Create a marketing strategy that doesn't just rely on one method, structure your offers and pricings for long term sustainability and then build confidence in marketing and selling your services. This isn't another passive course where you consume the information and then do nothing. This is about taking action. Because clarity comes from action and not waiting. So this week you have some homework. As always, your action step this week is to identify one small step you can take toward growing your practice. Maybe it's clarifying your niche. Maybe it's posting that first marketing piece you've been putting off. Maybe it's just reaching out to one referral partner this week. Maybe it's you joining the Power Sprint. Just one step. That's all it takes to start building momentum. And seriously, if you're ready to go all in and build your practice with clarity and confidence, join me for the Private Practice Power sprint. It starts March 10th and now through March 5th. The power sprint can be split into two payments. And if you really want to talk more private practice, I'm also speaking at the Savvy Practice Summit. It's a free event to help therapists scale their private practice sustainably. Both links are now in the show Notes. So to recap, Small steps create big momentum. Every win matters. Therapists deserve profitable, sustainable careers and the best way to move forward is to start seeing step by step. I can't wait to hear what small action you take this week.
